Blood Of Dawnwalker: New Gameplay Shows Witcher-esque Vampire Action
How's your Monday treating you? Are you one of those super-organized people who wakes up early, eats a healthy breakfast, and tackles the day with a clear mind? Or, like me, are you still trying to shake off the remnants of a late night, perhaps fueled by a bit too much internet browsing?
Well, whatever your routine, I've got something that might pique your interest: a new gameplay video for The Blood Of Dawnwalker, the upcoming medieval fantasy action RPG from Rebel Wolves and Bandai Namco. Honestly, it still gives me serious Witcher 3 vibes, but with a cool vampire twist.
Let's quickly recap the story: you play as Coen, a pretty boy with some scars, who's on a mission to find his kidnapped family against the clock. The game has a day-night cycle, which divides into eight periods. Time is paused in each period until you interact with an hourglass, which is when things start to move.
During the day, Coen is your regular guy. He does normal human stuff like chatting with people and solving problems, or slicing monsters with a sword. At night, however, things get wild. He gains the ability to walk on walls, teleport between rooftops, and rip armored foes apart with his bare hands.
The more enemies Coen takes down, the more infamous he becomes, which leads to a bigger guard presence. Also, you'll need to feed him blood. If not, he might just go crazy. Funny enough, I think that the same is for my cat. I think Coen has all the personality of week-old Coca Cola, but there's an entertaining if confusing range of British accents, even though they are exagerated.
Based on what I've seen, The Blood Of Dawnwalker looks pretty promising. It's slated to release sometime in 2026, so there's still a wait. But hey, good things come to those who wait, right?
