Some screenshots have surfaced, seemingly offering a peek at Bluepoint's cancelled live service God of War game. If these images are the real deal, they show environments from the project that Sony reportedly canned earlier this year. It appears Sony is trimming down on live service development after the flop of Concord.

As you can see, the leaked screens are full of Ancient Greek architecture, hinting at a possible return to Kratos' roots. I am really hyped to see Kratos back in the Greek Era. I am one of those fans that didn't like the Nordic settings.

Hades' Role and Setting

According to the source, Hades, the god of the underworld, was supposed to be the armory master in the game. This suggests the game would have taken place before God of War 3. The images show cavern roofs and sulfur pools that look like they're straight out of the Underworld. Also, interiors with broken bridges and balconies suggest a bit of platforming, if you ask me.

The most striking thing about these screens? The pots! Beautiful pots, in green, black and terracotta. They look so fragile. How I wish I could smash them. Breaking pots is a big part of the fun in action-RPGs, specially if there is loot involved. It doesn't matter how good the story is if the pots don't break well.

While these pots might be ready for prime time, Sony seems to have had other plans. Even with the cancellation, Bluepoint is still on the move. They were recently looking for a combat designer, so they are up to something new!
