Great news for puzzle fans! BOKURA, the two-player puzzle adventure game, is officially making its way to PlayStation 5, a new Switch, and PlayStation 4 this November. I remember when BOKURA first hit Early Access on Steam – it's awesome to see how far it's come!

Originally, the PlayStation versions were supposed to drop earlier this year, but they were pushed back to summer. Now, we have a solid release window, and the addition of a Switch 2 version is a welcome surprise. It seems like the devs at Tokoronyori have been hard at work!

For those who aren't familiar with BOKURA, it's a unique co-op experience. What makes it special is that each player sees a completely different world on their screen. Imagine one player sees a friendly animal character, while the other sees a robot! To solve puzzles and progress, you have to communicate and share your perspectives.

I think the core concept is really cool! You and your friend must describe what you're seeing, figure out how the two realities interact, and work together. It's like a mind-bending escape room, but you are experiencing different realities.

The game features a side-scrolling puzzle adventure style, and it's packed with choices that actually matter. Depending on what you decide, the story can take some wild turns. It's all about teamwork and seeing things from a different angle.

The story kicks off when two boys run away from home and find a dead deer. From that moment on, their worlds are flipped. One sees animals, the other sees machines, and they have to figure out what happened and how to get back to normal. It sounds like a trip, right?

Keep in mind, you absolutely need a friend to play this game. There's no single-player mode or CPU partner. BOKURA is designed from the ground up as a two-player experience. So, the first step is finding someone to share this adventure with!

Total playtime is around three to four hours, which is perfect for a weekend gaming session. Expect lots of talking, problem-solving, and making tough calls together. I'm personally excited to dive into BOKURA with a friend when it drops on the new platforms. It really seems like a breath of fresh air in the puzzle genre!

If you’re in Japan, keep an eye out for a physical bundle that includes both BOKURA and its sequel, BOKURA: planet. It is scheduled to launch on November 20th.
