Guess what? Chris Avellone, the mastermind behind some of my all-time favorite games like Fallout: New Vegas and Knights of the Old Republic 2, is teaming up with Republic Games! I'm seriously hyped about this.

Republic Games, founded by Adam Williams (the lead writer of Detroit: Become Human), is cooking up a "dark, mature fantasy RPG". From what I'm hearing, it's going to be a game with a deep story and meaningful player choices, which sounds amazing.

Williams mentioned that their RPG will have a rich story, featuring a totalitarian regime, competing factions, and the freedom for players to shape their character. I love when games give you real agency! They also said there's a big supernatural element, taking the adventure into the realm of mythology.

And, if you're like me and love classic RPG gameplay, you'll be happy to know it's going to have combat, character creation, companions, and romances. It sounds like they're aiming to blend the best parts of old-school RPGs with modern storytelling.

Avellone himself seems pretty excited, saying he loves the design principles and narrative construction Williams is using. Being involved from the beginning is a rare opportunity, and I'm eager to see what they create together.

While details are still scarce, we do know that Bryan and Amelia Dechart from Detroit: Become Human are also involved. With all this talent, Republic Games' new RPG is definitely on my radar!
