Get ready, Crash Bandicoot fans! Our favorite marsupial is gearing up for a brand-new animated series, and it's heading straight to Netflix. If you're anything like me, you're probably doing the Wumpa dance right now.

The studio behind the fantastic Sonic Prime, WildBrain Studios, is taking the reins on this project. Since Sonic Prime was a total blast, I have high hopes for what they'll do with Crash. They've also worked on other well-known shows like Carmen Sandiego and Camp Snoopy, so they definitely have the animation chops to pull this off.

Interestingly enough, while Crash has been a gaming icon for ages, this will be his first ever dedicated animated series. That's right! Despite all those years of spinning and crate-smashing, he's never had his own show before. It's exciting to see WildBrain give him this debut on Netflix.

Now, there was a previous attempt to bring Crash to the small screen, a collaboration between Activision and Amazon, but it was ultimately cancelled. Apparently, script disputes were the culprit. Who knows what really happened, but at least we can look forward for this new series!

Regarding Crash's gaming future, things are a bit uncertain. Toys for Bob, the studio behind recent titles like N. Sane Trilogy and Crash 4: It's About Time, has gone independent. However, they've mentioned exploring a possible partnership with Microsoft, so there's still hope for a new Crash game in the future. Fingers crossed!
