Okay, so Cult of the Lamb is still a thing, and honestly, I'm not even mad. I thought it would have faded into obscurity by now, but Massive Monster is proving me wrong with their upcoming expansion, Woolhaven. Can you believe the game came out in 2022? It feels like ages ago!

Sure, we don't have a concrete release date beyond "early 2026," which feels like a lifetime away. However, the new trailer is teasing some serious farming action. Or, more accurately, getting your cult members to do the farming for you.

Winter is the main theme. In this trailer, you can see the new ranch and what you can do to combat the harsh winter conditions that prevent your crops from growing properly.

You can raise animals like goats, cows, crabs, snails, and turtles. You can breed and name them, and after that, you can shear them for materials or cook them for dinner. You need to feed them, keep them clean, and shield them from predators. You can also take them for a stroll or ride them. You can even have your followers take care of these responsibilities, or perhaps even have a closest animal companion.

Like many sim games, the ultimate goal is automation. Think Stardew Valley, where, given enough time, you don't even need to worry about your crops, allowing you to pursue other hobbies or even focus on the game's story. I'm curious to see if there's any commentary on the ever-expanding farming sim genre, especially given that you're in charge of a cult.

Woolhaven will also have new dungeons, so it seems that constructing your farm while embarking on adventures will be similar to the rest of the game. More Woolhaven news is on the way, but for now, you can anticipate playing it in early 2026.
