Okay, folks, so Dead Island 3 isn't officially a thing yet, but the guys over at Dambuster Studios are dropping some serious hints that they're working on something new in the zombie-slaying universe. In a recent Steam post, they practically winked at us, suggesting what's coming next for the franchise.

It's crazy to think it's been 14 years since the original Dead Island. I still remember the first time I played it – the tropical setting mixed with the zombie horror was something else! And now, with Dead Island 2, we've had over 20 million players causing mayhem in HELL-A. But according to Dambuster, that's not all, because they are already planning the future of the game!

Right now, they're keeping the details under wraps. It seems that the zombie outbreak is far from over, and the image they posted alongside the announcement shows Jacob from Dead Island 2 seemingly trying to leave LA. Could this be the new location for the next game? I think so!

Sequel or Expansion? While there's a chance this could be a standalone expansion, kind of like Dead Island: Riptide, it feels like a full-blown sequel is more probable, considering how long it's been since Dead Island 2 came out. Either way, I'm excited to see where they take the series next!
