So, things haven't exactly been smooth sailing in Diablo 4 lately, right? It almost feels like even Blizzard's given up a little bit. I mean, they announced the game's next PTR (Public Test Realm) through a Discord Q&A back in August – super unusual, to say the least.

That PTR was for the 2.4.0 update, packing in a lot of the Season of Infernal Chaos stuff. Normally, that's big enough to get a bunch of developer livestreams. But now, with the new season just around the corner, we're finally getting one.

What to Expect

Blizzard's dropping a Developer Update livestream, and it's not one of those casual Campfire Chat deals. That's a good sign, in my opinion. It's scheduled for September 16. They'll be giving us one last look at Season of Infernal Chaos before it kicks off, hopefully on September 23.

Like usual, there'll be devs walking us through all the new content and changes from that 2.4.0 PTR we had in August. They've name-dropped Chaos Armor, Chaos Rifts, and the updated Infernal Hordes as some of the things they'll be chatting about. Plus, they're doing a Q&A session at the end.

One thing that's changing is the actual format of the livestream itself. Blizzard's being all mysterious about it, so we'll have to tune in to see what's up. You'll be able to catch it on Diablo's official YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, and TikTok channels.

As a bonus, they're giving away a free cosmetic – the Fusillader's Arc Rogue Crossbow – if you watch any Diablo 4 livestream on Twitch for 30 minutes while the Developer Update is live. Not bad, right?

Season 10 is the last season announced on the Diablo 4 roadmap for this year. It's supposed to keep us busy until December. Besides the next IP collaboration, Blizzard's got to work hard to make Infernal Chaos a hit, especially since Season 9 didn't really blow anyone away. Hopefully, they can pull it off!
