Elden Ring Nightreign's release is almost here! Before embarking on your adventure, FromSoftware has released a day-one patch (version 1.01) to enhance your experience. This update focuses on improving gameplay, stability, and addressing some PC-specific issues.
What's in the Patch?
The patch notes are quite concise, mentioning general gameplay improvements, balance adjustments, text fixes, and added character scenarios. The soundtrack has also received some additions. Expect the usual bug fixes included as well.
Troubleshooting PC Issues
For PC players, FromSoftware addressed two significant issues: inability to start the game and frame rate drops. If you encounter the former, verifying the integrity of the game files through Steam is recommended (Library > right-click Elden Ring Nightreign > Properties > Installed Files > Verify Integrity of Game Files). For frame rate drops, particularly on high-end graphics cards, lowering the graphics settings from "High" to "Medium" or "Low", reducing screen resolution, and installing the latest graphics drivers might help. These are temporary workarounds while a proper fix is developed.
