Alright, listen up, Tarnished! Elden Ring is about to get a whole lot more intense, and I'm here to break down the latest update before the Deep of Night difficulty drops.

The masterminds at FromSoftware just rolled out patch 1.02.2, and trust me, it's not just a few minor tweaks. We're talking significant balance changes across the board, seemingly with the upcoming Deep of Night mode in mind. So, what's actually new?

First off, if you're rocking any of the Nightfarer character classes, prepare for some adjustments. Most classes got some love, like Wylder now having increased poise while casting Claw Shot, and the ability dealing increased Stamina damage to blocking enemies. On the other hand, Guardian now gains more Strength and Dex with each level, and their Steel Guard passive has a wider range.Duchess mains, get ready for even more Dexterity with each level up, plus some of your dagger attacks will hit harder. And yes, your favorite Finale Ultimate now lasts longer!Executor users will see a flat attack power increase while Cursed Sword is active, along with a boost to the skill itself. Plus, while Aspects of the Crucible: Beast is active, the class now deals more damage. And Revenant players, get this: other players can now pass right through your summoned spirits! They've also made the spirits more transparent, so you can actually tell that they're passable. Nice touch, FromSoftware!

But it's not just the classes getting a makeover. Patch 1.02.2 brings changes that affect everyone using certain weapons. For example, dual-wielded jump attacks performed with small and medium weapons now deal more stagger damage, but doing the same with larger weapons will deal less. It means you'll have to think about how you play.

Also, that Death Flare of Eclipse Shotel skill? It should now be way more effective at applying Death. It's also interesting that there’s now a cap on the cumulative effects of the Power of Vengeance and Power of House Marais passives, which might mess with some builds out there.

And last but not least, the update also tinkers with some of the Everdark Sovereign bosses. These are the amped-up versions of the Nightlord bosses, and they've been rebalanced with buffs and nerfs to their attacks, as well as how they react to player attacks and status effects.

All in all, patch 1.02.2 looks like a solid update that will shake things up in the Lands Between. Get ready for Deep of Night, it's going to be a wild ride!
