Falcom's new game for 2026 to be revealed in February!
Alright, listen up, Falcom fans! Big news coming straight from Taipei Game Show 2026. Toshihiro Kondo, the main man over at Falcom, dropped some hints about what they're cooking up for 2026. Apparently, they're planning to release two new titles! That's a pretty huge deal, considering they haven't done that in decades. One of these titles is Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter. But the other one? Well, that's the exciting part.
Kondo mentioned that they're planning a major announcement next month, which is February. I'm betting that's when we'll finally get the full reveal of this mystery game. This year also marks Falcom's 45th anniversary, so they're clearly planning to make it a big one with a steady stream of announcements.
While Falcom hasn't explicitly said what this unannounced title is, there's a pretty strong hint. A New Year's greeting card suggested it might be the Tokyo Xanadu New Project that was announced back in 2024. And here's a fun fact, it seems to be set in Kyoto, which is something fresh.
So, what can we expect? Well, if the rumors are true, we might be diving back into the world of Tokyo Xanadu, but with a brand-new setting. I'm personally hoping for some fresh gameplay mechanics and a gripping story. I am aware that Kondo wants everyone to stay tuned for further updates. As a Falcom fan, I can't wait to see what they have in store for us!
