Level-5, the game's developer, announced a delay due to an unresolved technical issue on the Xbox side. The early access launch, originally scheduled for May 18th, has been postponed indefinitely.
The developer expressed their frustration with the situation, emphasizing their commitment to getting players into the game as soon as possible. They are actively working with Xbox to resolve the issue, promising updates through their social media and official website. While a new launch date hasn't been provided, Level-5 assures players that they are exploring options to compensate for the delay.
Other Platforms Unaffected
It's important to note that this delay only impacts the Xbox version. Players on PlayStation 4/5, Nintendo Switch, and Steam can still access the early access period as scheduled. The full game is set to launch across all platforms on May 21st.
Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time was initially revealed during a Nintendo Direct in February 2023, with a planned 2023 release. However, the launch was subsequently pushed back. Now, with the unexpected Xbox delay, players will need to remain patient.
Beyond Fantasy Life i, Level-5 is also working on a new Professor Layton game titled "New World of Steam," set to introduce a fresh storyline and American setting.
