Deltarune Ice Key

Finding the Ice Key in Deltarune Chapter 3

RPG

Deltarune Chapter 3's hidden depths offer a thrilling secret ending, accessible only to players who unravel its intricate puzzles. A crucial component of this hidden path is the elusive Ice Key, obtainable only through a specific minigame. This guide will walk you through the process of finding this essential item.

Accessing the Original Minigame

To begin your quest for the Ice Key, you must first complete the initial round of Tenna's game show with an S-rank. This impressive feat unlocks a mysterious "S" door in the Green Room, a space that initially seems like a simple rest area before the next stage. Inside, you'll discover a rather unexpected dressing room, where a conversation with a particular character will initiate the "original game", providing access to the Ice Key.

Locating the Ice Key

The original game itself is a charming minigame. The objective is simple: acquire a sword, defeat all enemies, and upgrade your character to a level allowing you to destroy the cacti. This will open a new part of the map, leading you to the final area where the Ice Key awaits in a treasure chest.

The sword is located by following a specific path: go south, then left, then south again, then east, south, and finally down a staircase. Defeating enemies will increase your character's level and allow you to chop down the cacti and later, the palm trees. The treasure chest containing the Ice Key is located at the end of the path south of the cacti.

Utilizing the Ice Key

The Ice Key isn't just a one-time use item. After scoring another S-rank in Tenna’s second game show round, you can replay the original minigame. This time, the Ice Key unlocks a new area, leading you closer to that secret ending and a challenging boss fight.
