Guess what? Forza Horizon 6 is officially heading to Japan! Microsoft dropped the news at the Tokyo Game Show, and I couldn't be more hyped. We're talking about a map that's not just big, but the "most full" the series has ever seen.

According to Don Arceta, the art director, this version of Japan is going to be bursting with contrast, so expect a very diversified landscape. It will be really interesting to see how they capture the feel of Japan!

And hold on, there's more! The map will feature Tokyo, which they are calling the biggest city ever in a Horizon game. It's gonna be wild drifting through those neon-lit streets!

Playground Games isn't aiming for a carbon copy of Japan. They're all about capturing the essence and spirit of the place, which I think is a smart move. They're using tons of real-world data, like satellite info and 3D scans, to make the world feel authentic.

Arceta also mentioned that Forza Horizon 6 will be super approachable and a celebration of Japanese culture. Beyond just the cars, they're diving into festivals and other cultural stuff. They are working with a cultural consultant, Kyoko Yamashita, so people might even learn something new about Japan while tearing up the streets.

While the full game wasn't shown, we did get a quick teaser. However, the news had already leaked. From what I've seen, Forza Horizon 6 is set to drop on Xbox and PC in 2026, with a PlayStation 5 release coming later.
