Hey Travelers! Big news coming out of Teyvat! It looks like Genshin Impact is making some pretty significant changes that'll affect how and where you can play. Basically, if you're still rocking a PlayStation 4, I've got some bad news.

MiHoYo is officially ending support for Genshin Impact on the PS4. It's a bummer, I know, especially if that's your main way to explore the world. They're saying it's due to the PS4's hardware limitations and the game's increasing size. The PS5 version, thankfully, remains unaffected. You can rest easy if you have the new Playstation!

So, what does this mean for you? Well, the changes are rolling out in phases. First, the game will be removed from the PlayStation Store. However, if you already have it downloaded, you can still access it from your library - that's good news.

Then, in the future, you won't be able to make any in-game purchases through the PlayStation Store. But until the final curtain call, you can still snag any items you've bought. I suggest you claim it before its too late.

Finally, support for Genshin Impact on PS4 completely ends. After this date, it's game over on the PS4, with no more updates or support. It's always sad when a game leaves a platform behind, but it's also a sign of progress, I guess.

PC and Mobile Specs Getting a Bump

But wait, there's more! It's not just the PS4 that's seeing changes. Genshin Impact is also raising its minimum and recommended specs for both PC and mobile. This means you might need a more powerful device to run the game smoothly. I recommend you to verify if your phone/PC are capable of still running Genshin.

Unlike the PS4 situation, you might still be able to launch the game on older devices that don't meet the minimum specs. However, MiHoYo warns that it won't be a pretty sight. Expect performance issues and a less-than-ideal experience. New content is designed for beefier hardware, after all. Just don't complain later :)

It's not all doom and gloom, though. These changes are happening to make the game better in the long run. So, while it might be annoying to upgrade your hardware, think of it as an investment in your Genshin Impact adventures! What do you think of these changes? Let me know in the comments!
