Get Ready to Race! 4PGP Four-Player Grand Prix Coming to Switch and PC
Hey everyone! So, there's a new arcade racer hitting the scene, and it looks like a blast from the past with a modern twist. It's called 4PGP Four-Player Grand Prix, and it's being brought to us by 3goo and Vision Reelle.
The game is slated to launch on Switch 2 and Switch on February 5, 2026, with a PC version coming later on Steam. Of course, the Switch 2 version will be a bit pricier at $24.99, while the Switch version will set you back $19.99. There's even an "Upgrade Pack" for Switch 2 users for $4.99.
What's particularly cool is that the developers are aiming for that classic 90s arcade feel, but with modern performance. Imagine playing something like SEGA Rally or Ridge Racer, but with updated graphics and gameplay! They are trying to bring some social and fun moments, since it has a split-screen and GameShare.
You can race with up to four players locally in split-screen, or use GameShare on the Switch 2 to play with friends locally or online. You can tweak the difficulty with Rookie, Novice, Veteran, and Expert modes, so players of all skill levels can join the fun. Plus, there are Quick Race, Championship, and Time Attack modes to keep things interesting.
As you progress, you can unlock more cars and tracks. The game features design contributions from Kenji Sasaki (SEGA Rally, Ridge Racer) and music from Tomoyuki Kawamura (SEGA Rally, Virtua Racing). These are some heavy hitters in the racing game world, so I think the game has potential to be something special.
Key features include assist mode to make easier for newcomers. Split-screen for up to 4 players, GameShare, online play, quick races, championships and time attack mode. There is also unlockable tracks and vehicles.
