Ghost of Yōtei Legends: Online Co-op Arrives Next Month with Free Update for Ghost of Yōtei owners
Get ready, samurai! Ghost of Yōtei's awesome online co-op mode, Legends, is dropping in less than a month! Mark your calendars for March 10th, because that's when the free update lands for all you Ghost of Yōtei owners. I can't wait to team up with friends and dive into this!
Sucker Punch, the masterminds behind the game, have spilled the beans on what Legends will bring to the table. We're talking three different mission types to keep us busy.
Survival Mode
First up, Survival mode. You and up to three other players will face off against waves of enemies that just keep getting tougher and tougher. And here's the cool part: you'll be fighting for territory on four different maps. Think of it like a strategic brawl where you've got to control key points to get buffs. However, lose control, and you'll be slapped with a curse. Each map has its own unique curses and blessings, so expect to adapt. It will be a hell of fun!
Story Missions and Incursions
If you prefer a narrative experience, Story mode is for you. Team up with a friend and tackle 12 missions together. After every three missions, you'll unlock an Incursion. These are massive, four-player assaults on strongholds held by members of the fearsome Yōtei Six. Each Incursion ends with a huge boss fight against a supernatural version of one of these baddies.
And if you're hungry for even more challenge, in April, there's a Raid coming. This will test your team's skills to the max as you face off against the Dragon and Lord Saito himself.
Don't forget about the classes! You can choose to play as a Samurai, Archer, Mercenary, or Shinobi. While each class has unique strengths, all of them can wield a ranged weapon in addition to their trusty katana. For example, if you pick the Samurai, you can wield the ōdachi and access the widest range of weapon types. But if you choose Archer, you can use the yari (spear) and carry an additional ranged weapon. Mercenaries get the dual katana and utility-focused abilities, while Shinobi can use the kusarigama and stealth skills.
I'm incredibly hyped! The fan response to Legends was amazing when Ghost of Tsushima launched, and I think it's great to see it return for Ghost of Yōtei. Let's prepare our katanas to dive in on March 10th!
