So, Metroid Prime 4 finally dropped, and while some are loving it, others feel it fell a bit short of the hype. One of the main criticisms I've been seeing online is the inclusion of Federation soldiers alongside Samus. Unlike previous games where she was a lone wolf, this time she's got a whole crew, and some players feel it messes with the game's mysterious vibe.

Now, get this: a YouTuber named Bearborg dug into the game's files and found a bunch of unused dialogue between these NPCs. We're talking over 41 minutes of conversations, with a whopping 34 minutes that didn't make the final cut. That's a lot of chatter that could have changed the game's feel!

Apparently, there were plans for much more incidental dialogue between the characters. The conversations ranged from robot strength contests (who can bench press more?) to Armstrong discovering roast beasts. Sounds like a lot of lighthearted, humorous stuff that ultimately didn't add much to the story. That's probably why it got axed.

Because they are so little, these characters end up coming across as pretty basic stereotypes. However, it seems that the real problem is Samus doesn't talk at all. In my opinion, if they mentioned this, that would really add to the game narrative and make people understand why she is so quiet.

After an 18-year wait, Metroid Prime 4 had a lot to live up to. While it's not a terrible game, many gamers feel it could have been so much better.
