Hollow Knight: Silksong

Hollow Knight: Silksong Demo Coming to Gamescom Alongside ROG Xbox Ally!

Metroidvania

Hey everyone! Great news for those of us eagerly awaiting Hollow Knight: Silksong! It's going to be playable at Gamescom this year. I know, I know, we're all still waiting for that elusive release date, but at least we get to sink our teeth into a demo soon!

Microsoft will be showing off the demo at their booth in Cologne, alongside the first public showing of the ROG Xbox Ally handheld. It seems like these two are destined to be together, right? What I'm curious about, though, is what the demo will actually include. Will it be a new area? A boss fight? I need to know!

While they didn't spill all the beans, we do know you'll be able to play the Silksong demo on the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X handhelds, both launching later this year. Of course, it'll be playable on PCs too, so no worries there. I'm personally excited to see how Silksong feels on a handheld. It seems like the perfect kind of game for portable play.

But wait, there's more! Besides Silksong, other games like Ninja Gaiden 4, Grounded 2, Borderlands 4, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, and PowerWash Simulator 2 are also expected to be playable in some form outside of the handheld demos. Plus, they're showing off a new city update for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Talk about a packed event!

So, if you're heading to Gamescom, make sure to swing by the Xbox booth and get your hands on Silksong and all the other goodies they have to offer. I wish I could go, but I'll be here, glued to my screen, waiting for all the impressions to roll in. Let's hope this demo gives us a better idea of when we can finally expect the full release! Fingers crossed!
