Hollow Knight's Player Count Skyrockets as Silksong Hype Intensifies!

So, everyone's super hyped for Hollow Knight: Silksong, and I'm seeing people jump back into the original Hollow Knight like crazy! It's awesome to witness such a dedicated fanbase. The announcement of Silksong's release date at Gamescom really lit a fire under everyone.

Because of that, Team Cherry's masterpiece is smashing its own records on Steam. Just today, the game hit an all-time concurrent peak of 39,356 players. Considering Hollow Knight is an eight-year-old indie single-player game, that's mind-blowing! It just shows how much people love this game.

Of course, Steam peaks only tell part of the story. However, usually it shows how many players there are in other platforms. Before the Silksong news, Hollow Knight's peak was around 20K back in 2022. I'm curious how high it'll go once Silksong finally drops!

Mark your calendars, because Hollow Knight: Silksong is coming to PC, Switch, Switch 2, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on September 4th, 2025. The developers said that they were just having a blast creating the game, so I'm really excited to see what's in store for us! The hype is definitely real!
