So, remember that Metal Gear-esque game, Physint, that Hideo Kojima announced? Well, turns out it's still super early in development. Like, "Kojima working on it all by himself" early. I know, right? It's like he's building the next big thing from the ground up, solo style!

For those who missed the memo, Physint is supposed to be this next-gen action-espionage game. The plan was to really get going on it after Death Stranding 2 was out. And, well, DS2 is here! But it doesn't mean Kojima has jumped ship entirely.

Right now, he's still diving deep into Death Stranding 2, checking out how players are tackling the game – what weapons they're using, what routes they're taking. All that data helps him figure out what needs tweaking. Plus, you know, the man's got promo stuff and interviews piled up. No rest for the weary!

What's Next?

Apart from fine-tuning DS2, Kojima's also juggling OD, that horror project he's doing with Xbox. Sounds spooky! But when it comes to Physint, he's back in the conceptual phase, doing his thing solo. Which, honestly, isn't a huge shock. Back in May, he said it could take him another five or six years to finish Physint. So, yeah, buckle up, folks. It's gonna be a wait.

I get the feeling Physint is a real passion project for Kojima. He's called it a "culmination of my work", aiming to blur the lines between movies and games. Apparently, the idea even came to him during a tough time with his health, which made him rethink his priorities. He wanted to give fans what they've been asking for, and you gotta respect that!

On a side note, Death Stranding 2 has been getting some good buzz. And with talks of potential ports and even a Death Stranding anime, it looks like we're not done with Sam Porter Bridges and his delivery adventures just yet!
