Metal Gear Solid Delta: Updated Opening Scene
Konami has unveiled a revamped opening sequence for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, the upcoming remake of the classic title. This updated intro features a re-recording of the iconic Snake Eater theme song by Cynthia Harrell, known for her work on Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. The visuals, handled by Kyle Cooper, have also received a significant overhaul.
While the musical essence of the Snake Eater theme remains intact, the accompanying visuals have been modernized and integrated with new gameplay footage, showcasing the improved graphics of the remake. The updated opening now seamlessly blends the cinematic style reminiscent of James Bond films with the action-packed gameplay we've come to expect from the series.
A New Look, Same Classic Feel
Fans of the original PS2 version will remember the theme song playing during the credits following the prologue. The remake retains this structure, but with enhanced visuals and updated gameplay elements seamlessly woven into the sequence. The staff credits, previously displayed in a separate section, are now integrated into the in-game opening.
Developed by Konami and Virtuos, and notably without the involvement of Hideo Kojima, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater promises a faithful recreation of the original experience while taking advantage of modern gaming technology. The game includes the beloved Snake vs Monkey minigame and launches on August 28th for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam.
