Monster Hunter Rise gets Street Fighter 6 collab

Action RPG

Get ready for a fiery crossover event! Capcom has announced a surprising collaboration between its popular titles, Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak and Street Fighter 6. This exciting partnership brings the iconic fighters of Street Fighter 6 into the world of Monster Hunting.

Akuma's Arrival

The collaboration centers around the addition of Akuma, the fearsome Street Fighter villain. Hunters can obtain a full armor set, and even a layered armor set, allowing them to embody the power of Akuma. More than just a cosmetic change, equipping this armor grants access to Akuma's signature moves, including the devastating Gou Hadoken and Gou Shoryuken. The power of these attacks scales with the hunter's currently equipped weapon.

Blanka-Chan and Beyond

The fun doesn't stop with Akuma! Your trusty Palico can even dress up as the adorable Blanka-Chan. Additionally, the free update recreates the Street Fighter 6 Drive Impact system, adding another layer of strategic depth to the hunt. To unlock all these amazing items, players must complete the new side quest, "Ultimate Strength."

Paid DLC: Chun-Li and Cammy

For those wanting even more Street Fighter flair, a paid DLC pack offers additional cosmetic options. Dress up your hunter as either Chun-Li or Cammy, and accessorize with a Blanka-Chan doll pendant and themed stickers. This DLC pack also includes additional gestures based on classic Street Fighter moves.

Both the free update and the paid DLC are slated to launch on May 28th, so mark your calendars!
