Monster Hunter Wilds

Monster Hunter Wilds: Lagiacrus, Underwater Combat, and More!

Action RPG

Hey everyone! I'm super hyped to dive into the details of Title Update 2 for Monster Hunter Wilds. Capcom just dropped a ton of info during their June Spotlight, and I can't wait to share what's coming. Mark your calendars: it's launching early on Monday, June 30th, after some server maintenance.

The highlight? Lagiacrus is making a splash! This beast brings underwater combat to Wilds, meaning you'll be fighting in a whole new dimension. I always loved underwater battles, so I am very excited to try this.

You'll need to finish the main mission "A World Turned Upside Down" and the side quest "Forest Doshaguma" (at Hunter Rank 31+) to take on Lagiacrus. Also joining the hunt is Seregios, also available at HR 31+ after the same main mission. Both monsters come with sweet new armor sets for you and your Palico!

Feeling brave? Tempered versions (8 Star) of Lagiacrus and Seregios will be roaming around at HR 41+. Prepare for a challenge!

Later, on July 30th, get ready for Arch-tempered Uth Duna! This ultra-challenging version (HR 50+) arrives as part of an Event Quest and free Challenge Quest, bringing new equipment to craft.

And speaking of crafting, finally, we're getting layered weapons! This means you can keep the stats of your favorite weapon while making it look like any other. To use a weapon as a layer, you need to craft the final weapon in its tree or fully reinforce a Rarity 8 Artian Weapon. This is a feature I've been wanting for ages! Now I can finally have my weapon looking the way I want.

There are also some smaller, but welcome, additions in TU2. You'll be able to change your main handler from Alma to Erik and call upon one more support hunter (who uses a Sword & Shield). More hunters to help is always nice!

Festival of Accord: Flamefete

From July 23rd to August 6th, the Festival of Accord: Flamefete will be live! This event brings new armor, camp decorations, and gestures. The Grand Hub will get a makeover, and you'll find special event meals at the cantina. Limited-time events are always a blast.

Capcom also confirmed that Title Update 3 is coming in September, bringing a new monster and another edition of the Festival of Accord. Something to look forward to.

It's no secret that Monster Hunter Wilds has faced some challenges lately. Player numbers have dipped on Steam, and user reviews haven't been great. However, I'm optimistic that Title Update 2 can bring back some positive vibes. What do you think?
