Remember those days venturing through the ashlands to Red Mountain? You know, facing down unforgettable foes? Okay, maybe not *exactly* like that, but imagine the possibilities! A modder has actually managed to port the entire landmass of Morrowind into Elden Ring. I know, right?

It's still very much a work-in-progress, so don't expect a perfect replica just yet. Currently, Vvardenfell's populated by a bunch of identical women and goats. Still, it's shaping up to be something pretty wild and cool. Think of it as a surreal sneak peek at what could be!

InfernoPlus, the YouTuber behind this crazy project (dubbed "Elden Scrolls"), said that Morrowind is one of their favorite games of all time, but it hasn't aged well. So, the goal is to merge the world and lore of Morrowind with the combat of a Souls game. It's all about taking the best of both worlds and mashing them together into something unique. A crazy but exciting idea, don't you think?

The current result is a genuinely awesome re-creation of all those locations you probably remember. Balmora's streets, the Ghostfence, and Vivec are being brought to life. Now, you can wander and enjoy these familiar places with a fresh coat of paint, brought to you by the engine of a modern FromSoftware game. The possibilities!

However, don't expect to bump into Vivec chilling in his usual spot, or any Dunmer, Argonians, or other Elder Scrolls races. For now, the humanoid NPCs are placeholder clones. As for why the ladies all seem so cheerful? Maybe they're just happy someone finally took care of Dagoth Ur. Who knows?

I've done a fair bit of research on what remaining work is left, and from what I can tell, everything I want to do is possible. It really just comes down to the number of hours it's going to take to build it all out. If you ask me, it's gonna be legendary!

Interestingly, InfernoPlus mentioned trying to stuff Morrowind into Dark Souls and Dark Souls 3 before settling on Elden Ring. Elden Ring was the right choice because it didn't have the same world-loading limitations. He also isn't losing sleep over potential copyright issues, confidently stating that the project doesn't violate anything. Smart move!

And when this mod finally hits the shelves? It'll work a bit like the Tale of Two Wastelands mod, which lets you bounce between Fallout 3 and New Vegas. That means you will need to own both Morrowind *and* Elden Ring to dive in. Time to start gathering the pieces!
