Nintendo's New ‘Close to You’ Videos are the First Films from Nintendo Pictures

Nintendo

So, Nintendo dropped a couple of super cute animated shorts called "Close to You" this week, and guess what? They're all about Pikmin! If you're like me and you've got a soft spot for those adorable little plant creatures, you're in for a treat. I wasn't expecting Nintendo to make movies!

What's really cool is that these are the very first short films made by Nintendo Pictures, which is a subsidiary of Nintendo. It's like they're branching out and trying new things, which I'm totally here for. The big N said they’re hoping we enjoyed the videos. And believe me, I did!

You can catch the second video on the "Nintendo Today!" app. It’s free on your smart device. Free stuff is always good. Anyway, it sounds like Nintendo Pictures is planning to make more video content in the future, and I can’t wait to see what they come up with next. Maybe a full-length Pikmin movie? One can dream, right?

Honestly, I think it's a smart move for Nintendo. Video content is huge these days, and it's a great way to engage with fans and bring new people into the Nintendo world. Plus, who can resist the charm of Pikmin? They're like the puppies of the video game world.

For me, the shorts were just a fun little dose of Nintendo goodness. It's always great to see them trying new things and giving us more of what we love. I'm curious to know what characters they'll use next. Will it be Mario and Luigi, or Link? Or maybe some new characters!
