Hey everyone!

It looks like Nioh 3 is off to a fantastic start! Since its launch last Friday, the game has been making waves, and the initial player numbers are seriously impressive. Over the weekend, Nioh 3 almost hit 90,000 concurrent players on Steam. Right now, it's sitting pretty at the top of Steam's Trending Games list, which is always a good sign.

Developed by Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo, Nioh 3 reached a peak of 88,045 concurrent PC players last Sunday, according to SteamDB. When you compare that to the previous games, it's a huge leap. Nioh 3 doubled Nioh 2's numbers on the same platform, and it's a staggering eight times the original Nioh's peak! What's the secret? Well, Nioh 3 is the first in the series to launch simultaneously on PC and consoles.

Of course, it's available on the PlayStation 5 as well, so these Steam numbers only give us part of the picture. While console data isn't as easy to come by, the game has a solid 4.48-star rating on the PlayStation Store. That tells me players are really enjoying it.

It's not just about the numbers, though. Nioh 3 is getting some serious love from critics too. It currently has a very positive rating on Steam, and the reviews are praising it left and right. The game is sitting at an 86 on Metacritic, which is nothing to sneeze at.

So, have you jumped into Nioh 3 yet? I'm curious to hear what you think. I'm planning to dive in this week, after I finish some Elden Ring stuff.
