Old School Rally set to Fully Launch on Consoles and PC this Holiday
Hey everyone! Get ready for some retro racing action because Old School Rally is finally leaving Early Access and heading to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC this holiday season! I've been keeping an eye on this one, and I'm stoked it's getting a full release.
Astrolabe Games and Frozen Lake Games, the masterminds behind this title, made the announcement, and to sweeten the deal, there's a demo hitting PS5 and Switch on July 10th. This is a perfect chance to get a feel for the game before it fully launches!
For those who don't know, Old School Rally first hit Early Access on Steam back on July 19, 2024. The devs have been super attentive to community feedback, adding features and improvements players actually wanted. We're talking about stuff like ghost cars, steering sensitivity adjustments, alternate car designs, better stage optimization, and even wheel support. They've also been throwing in new cars, tracks, and music!
What's the Hype About?
Old School Rally is all about that classic arcade feel. Think fast-paced action that really tests your driving skills. It's not just about flooring it; you'll need to master those high-speed maneuvers if you wanna win.
Here's a quick rundown of what to expect:
- Retro Visuals: We're talking late '90s rally game vibes. Pure nostalgia!
- Global Tracks: Race on dirt, tarmac, and snow across various locations.
- Legendary Cars: A garage full of rally cars inspired by the greats.
- Leaderboards and Achievements: Compete with others and show off your skills!
Personally, I'm a sucker for anything that brings back that old-school gaming feel, and Old School Rally seems to nail it. The fact that the developers listened to the community during Early Access is a huge plus in my book. I'm excited to see the final product and tear up some tracks!
