Path of Exile: Maxroll's Update for Mercenaries of Trarthus League!
Get ready, Exiles! The new Mercenaries of Trarthus league is dropping alongside the Secrets of the Atlas Expansion, and Maxroll is here to arm you with everything you need. So, prepare your characters for new challenges and opportunities!
Indeed, Maxroll has rolled out a massive update, including a brand-new PoEPlanner tool, fresh and revamped league starters, and even PoB import/export functionality. It's like they've handed us the keys to the kingdom!
Meet the Mercenaries of Trarthus
Imagine this: Each zone features a unique Mercenary, brimming with personality, skills, and gear. Now, these aren't your run-of-the-mill sidekicks; they're individuals with their own stories and capabilities. And If you are lucky, you might even stumble upon "Infamous" Mercenaries, which are rarer but also carry valuable items.
These Mercenaries aren't just for show; they bring some serious buildcrafting potential to the table. Think of them as companions that you can hire to aid you in combat! The fun part? You can freely change their items or even dismiss them if they are not what you've expected.
However, remember, you can only have one Mercenary actively fighting alongside you. You can have a couple more waiting in town if you want to switch things up! Also, their level is locked to the area where you found them, so keeping them upgraded is crucial.
When you defeat a Mercenary, you get to make a choice: hire them, take an item, or exile them. Each option has its own perks. For example, if you "Take Item", the Mercenary will drop one of their items on death. This could include special "Of Trathus" Skill Gems or even rare items with exclusive effects.
By the way, if you choose to "Exile" a Mercenary, that archetype won't appear for the next ten encounters. It's like putting them in time-out!
New and Updated Build Guides
Maxroll's experts have been burning the midnight oil to bring you the best league starters for the 3.26 update. Whether you're a seasoned Exile or just starting your journey, there's a build for you!
First, Volcanic Fissure of Snaking is looking like a top pick. Then, you can choose between a Berserker setup from Crouching_Tuna that is all about speed and damage or a Slayer version from Carn with continuous leech effects.
If you like big hits, Zizaran’s new Earthquake Gladiator will make your enemies bleed all over the floor. If not, Goratha’s Rolling Magma Mine Saboteur can turn your screen into a chaotic inferno!
Moreover, Aer0’s Glacial Cascade Elementalist brings a whole squad of golems to back you up, while Velyna’s Tornado of Elemental Turbulence Inquisitor fills the screen with deadly vortexes.
For the updated builds, Explosive Arrow Ballista Ignite remains a solid choice, with options for both Champion and Elementalist versions. Goratha’s Eviscerate Bleed Gladiator turns every map into a bloodbath, and HelmBreaker has updated all three of his minion guides.
So, if you're into bows, Crouching_Tuna’s Lightning Arrow Deadeye will get you off to a strong start. For melee fans, Carn’s Ground Slam of Earthshaking Slayer is all about shattering foes. And if you like traps and mines, Aer0’s Ice Trap Trickster and Ice Shot of Penetration Deadeye are there to freeze and obliterate everything.
Leveling and Currency Guides
Maxroll has also revamped their leveling guides with the help of Path of Exile racing legend Havoc616, so you can breeze through the campaign and hit maps in no time. They're also streamlining their currency strategies to focus on the most effective farming methods.
For example, Crop Rotation Harvest is a mini-game where you buff your crops to get the most juice out of a single plot. It's like tending a digital garden, but instead of veggies, you get valuable resources!
Maxroll's PoEPlanner
The star of the show is arguably Maxroll’s new PoEPlanner tool. It's like a digital playground where you can theorycraft builds, share them with the community, and browse what other Exiles are creating.
Getting started is easy: You can either start from scratch or link your Path of Exile account to import a character directly. The tool supports a ton of modules, but you don't have to use them all. It's all about customizing your build to perfection.
Lastly, Maxroll has also partnered with the Path of Building team to support importing and exporting directly from this popular community tool. Plus, C3ntrax has updated the PoExchange tool with direct integration to the Maxroll website.
