Hey everyone! I've got some interesting news for you. PEPPERED: An Existential Platformer, which initially hit PC in April 2025, is making its way to consoles. It will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on April 7. How cool is that?

Developed by Mostly Games and published by Lynxbyte Games, this game isn't your typical platformer. It's got a very unique premise. You play as an office intern who, seeing that nobody else cares about the world ending, decides to take matters into their own hands. I mean, who hasn't felt like that at some point, right?

However, instead of being hailed as a hero, you're branded a terrorist and have to deal with angry mobs, the police, and the media. Talk about a rough day at the office!

What Makes PEPPERED Stand Out?

Well, I think the most interesting thing about this game is that you only get one shot at everything. Your choices, boss battles, and even your failures all have a real impact on the story. It branches out in a ton of different directions. It determines how things will go and how it all ends. Will you save the world? Or will you fail miserably? I don't know, but I'm very curious to find out!

It's got platforming action. Run. Jump. Die. Scream at the screen. All the good stuff. The boss fights are designed so that if you lose, the game doesn't reset. The story just keeps going, incorporating your loss. Pretty unique!

There are also stealth sections where you can try to sneak past enemies or find a secret solution. Each section has its own unique character and permanent outcomes. They are so many things to discover!

Ultimately, PEPPERED: An Existential Platformer sounds like a wild ride. It is full of bizarre encounters, weirdos, and probably a lot of existential dread. I'm definitely adding this to my list of games to check out when it drops on consoles next month. What do you think? Are you intrigued by this one-shot platformer concept?
