Persona 4 Revival & STRANGER THAN HEAVEN: Release Window Set After April 2026!
Hold on to your hats, folks, because SEGA SAMMY just dropped some exciting, albeit distant, news! According to their recent Management Meeting 2025 presentation, we can expect both ATLUS' Persona 4 Revival and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio's brand-new title, STRANGER THAN HEAVEN, to launch sometime in fiscal year 2027. That puts the release window between April 1, 2026, and March 31, 2027. Yes, that's a bit of a wait, but trust me, it sounds like it will be worth it.
First up, Persona 4 Revival! Announced earlier this month for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC (via Steam and the Microsoft Store), this is a ground-up remake of the beloved JRPG. We even got a peek at some early development content in a teaser trailer, and let me tell you, it looks gorgeous. Imagine exploring Inaba with a fresh coat of paint – crisp graphics, smoother gameplay, and maybe even some new story content? The possibilities are endless!
Then there's STRANGER THAN HEAVEN, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio's mysterious new project. While it was initially teased at The Game Awards 2024, it recently received its official title and a brand-new trailer earlier this month. What's particularly interesting is the lack of confirmed platforms so far. Will it be a next-gen exclusive? A multi-platform release? Only time will tell. I, for one, am eager to see what the studio behind the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series cooks up next. Knowing them, it will be something unique, hilarious, and deeply engaging. Remember how they surprised us all with Judgment? This could be another one of those moments.
