Okay, ghost hunters, listen up! The folks over at Kinetic Games, the masterminds behind Phasmophobia, just dropped a roadmap that stretches all the way to 2026, and it's packed with enough spooky goodness to keep us on the edge of our seats for a long time. It seems they are planning a LOT of updates!

I'm talking about four seasonal events to get us in the spirit, two classic maps getting a serious glow-up, and a brand-new location to explore. However, the real kicker? All of this is building towards some major updates, including a player character overhaul we've been waiting for, a fresh coat of paint with Unity 6, a potential release on the Nintendo Switch 2, and of course, the grand 1.0 release. Seems like the game won't be early access anymore!

Character Overhaul Soon

And the best part is, we don't have to wait too long! The player character overhaul, which some were hoping for last year, is slated to arrive by March. We're talking free cosmetics, spiffy new character models, and animations that are smoother than ever. Finally, we will be able to customize our characters with new clothes!

Kinetic is hyping up the 1.0 launch as one of the biggest moments since the game first hit the scene. They're promising surprises and what they're calling "Horror 2.0." Whatever that means, it sounds like it's going to be terrifying.

Map Updates and New Mysteries

Speaking of terrifying, remember the farmhouse map reworks? Well, Willow Street and Tanglewood are next in line to get a makeover. While Tanglewood's layout will stay mostly the same, Willow Street is getting a more significant overhaul. I am very excited for that because it's my favorite!

If you're the type of player who loves to dig into the lore, keep your eyes peeled in 6 Tanglewood Drive. Kinetic is hinting at a mystery lurking in the shadows there, just waiting to be uncovered.

Regarding the new map, they're keeping things tightly under wraps, but they did mention a unique, one-time event planned for later this year, alongside the usual seasonal festivities. What it will be? No one knows!

If you ask me, it looks like Phasmophobia is gearing up for a massive year. The updates look promising, and I can't wait to see what Kinetic Games has in store for us!
