Pikmin 3 Deluxe: Rated for Switch 2 - Is a Rerelease Coming?
So, here's a bit of news that got me thinking: Pikmin 3 Deluxe, the upgraded version of the Wii U game, has been rated for the Switch 2 by Pan European Game Information. Now, Nintendo hasn't officially said anything about this. But it definitely raises some interesting questions, right?
I mean, Pikmin 3 Deluxe originally launched on the Switch back in October 2020. It’s a fantastic game where you lead these adorable Pikmin to overcome obstacles and find food. You know, classic Pikmin stuff.
What's New?
Recently, Pikmin 4, the newest entry in the series, got a free update. It brought in some cool additions like new Decor Pikmin from Pikmin Bloom and even an in-game camera. However, there weren't any specific upgrades tailored for a potential "Switch 2".
The original Pikmin 3 Deluxe is all about commanding your Pikmin to strategically solve puzzles and defeat creatures. You can even play with a friend, which is always a blast. I remember when I first played it; the world felt massive. It's like Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, but with plant creatures!
And if you're new to Pikmin, don't worry. The Deluxe version has difficulty settings, lock-on targeting, and even optional hints to make things easier. It also includes side-story missions featuring Olimar and Louie, plus all the downloadable content from the original game.
If you’re in the mood for some friendly competition, you can dive into Bingo Battles. In this mode, you race against another player to collect items on your bingo card using your Pikmin. It's chaotic and a ton of fun!
Three explorers crash-land on planet PNF-404, and they need to find food for their starving home planet. It’s up to you to guide them and the Pikmin, using their unique abilities to gather fruit and grow your squad. It's a great mix of strategy and exploration.
In summary, a Switch 2 version of Pikmin 3 Deluxe hasn't been confirmed. But this rating definitely has me hopeful.
