Alright, horror fans, get ready! Poppy Playtime Chapter 5 finally has a release date. Mark your calendars for February 18th, 2026, because that's when "Broken Things" hits PC. However, console players will have to wait a little longer, with the console release expected "in the months ahead".

To celebrate, Mob Entertainment dropped a chilling cinematic teaser, giving us a good look at the infamous Experiment 1006, AKA The Prototype. And let me tell you, it's not for the faint of heart! If you're into that red-brown scary stuff, you will enjoy the trailer below.

The teaser's description sets the stage, "Deep within the vacant halls of the Playtime Co. lab, The Prototype stalks its unfinished work… the tattered, lifeless remains of toys that once were. Broken things." It sounds like we're in for a seriously creepy experience.

So, what can you expect in "Broken Things"? According to the developers, we're facing off against the puppetmaster behind Playtime Co.’s dark past. You'll need to solve puzzles, navigate dangerous obstacles, and brace yourself for some serious terror. Also, there's a promise of new "tortured denizens" lurking in a new area of the factory. Sounds like fun, right? I hope the puzzles are challenging and not just tedious. I mean, if I'm running for my life from a giant toy monster, I want the puzzles to be engaging!

It's been quite a wait for this chapter. Poppy Playtime Chapter 4 arrived on PC in January last year and then made its way to consoles over the summer. But I guess good things take time, especially when you're building a horror empire!

And speaking of empires, don't forget that a Poppy Playtime movie adaptation is in the works with Legendary Entertainment and Angry Films. It seems like Mob Entertainment has big plans, and they're not slowing down.

The co-founders said, "When we first started this journey, we followed our passion and created a series of games and brands with the purpose of inspiring and entertaining. We've always dreamed big and are thrilled to have created something that has captured the hearts of tens of millions around the world. This movie deal is a great logical next step in the growth of our transmedia entertainment company."

So, get ready for more scares, more puzzles, and more of the creepy world of Poppy Playtime!
