Action

People Can Fly, the renowned studio behind titles like Bulletstorm and Outriders, has finally unveiled the mystery surrounding Project Maverick. Initially reported in June 2023, Project Maverick was known to be a Microsoft-funded venture with a substantial budget. The speculation can end because it's been revealed that Project Maverick is none other than Gears of War: E-Day!

A Collaboration with The Coalition

People Can Fly is collaborating with The Coalition on this highly anticipated addition to the Gears of War saga. The studio's involvement was first hinted at in January of this year, adding fuel to the speculation that has been circulating within the gaming community.

According to People Can Fly's investor website, the studio is currently juggling a diverse portfolio of seven projects. Among these are Gemini, a new AAA game in partnership with Square Enix; Echo, a mode for an existing game developed for Krafton; and projects Bifrost and Victoria (Lost Rift), which will be self-published.

Furthermore, People Can Fly is exploring the realm of virtual reality with Project Bison, an immersive VR action survival game. Incuvo, a subsidiary of the group, is also actively developing Green Hell VR, a separate VR endeavor.

Gears of War: E-Day is set to be a prequel, transporting players back 14 years before the original game's events. Fans will be delighted to know that John DiMiaggio and Carlos Ferro are returning to reprise their iconic roles as Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago, respectively.
