Hey everyone! Great news for rhythm game fans: Ratatan is finally launching in Early Access on PC via Steam on September 19th! After a slight delay, we're getting our hands on this cool rhythmic roguelike adventure, and I, for one, can't wait. Later on, they're planning a full release for PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Switch, and PC, so everyone will get a chance to jump in eventually.

The producer, Kazuto Sakajiri, mentioned they're really counting on player feedback during Early Access to make the game even better, which is awesome! It's always cool when developers listen to the community.

So, what's Ratatan all about? Imagine leading a bunch of cute creatures called Cobun through a vibrant world, using rhythm-based commands to battle enemies. It's like Patapon, but with its own unique twist! You can even team up with friends for some online multiplayer mayhem, battling with over 100 characters on screen. Sounds chaotic and fun, right?

The story revolves around these Ratatans, who live on a lively island and dream of meeting a legendary Goddess. You'll be marching your troops to the beat, using strategic commands and well-planned retreats to win battles. Think fast, move to the music, and try not to lose too many of your adorable Cobun!

And get this: the game has a FEVER MODE! When you keep up with the rhythm, your party goes wild, the music changes, and everyone starts dancing like crazy. If all players hit Fever Mode together? Total pandemonium! I love games with this mechanic, where keeping the rythm matters and has visible results.

Visually, Ratatan is packed with charming 2D animation. The Cobun wobble and wiggle as they follow your orders, and even the enemies have hilarious movements that bring the world to life. Plus, the soundtrack is composed by Kemmei Adachi, with a guest track by David Wise so we know those tunes are going to be catchy!

Created by Hiroyuki Kotani, one of the guys behind Patapon, Ratatan looks like it will be a really great experience. Get ready for rhythm-driven combat, a crazy world, monsters and lots of multiplayer madness! I know I'm ready!
