So, The Rogue Prince of Persia, right? It might not be setting the world on fire, but it's got its fans since its initial release. Many of us probably thought the updates would stop after the 1.0 launch last year. But guess what? Evil Empire, who are also knee-deep in the next Castlevania project, aren't quite done tinkering with it.

They dropped a roadmap on February 16th showing us what's coming in Spring 2026, with two main updates planned for April and May. Let's dive in!

What's on the Horizon?

First, there's the 'Breathless Update'. It sounds intense, doesn't it? This one's bringing in a Freeze element, arena battles, a new super-hard difficulty, weapon and tool tweaks, new tools, medallions, and a general speed boost to the game. Think faster, tougher biomes and enemies – regular and bosses, included.

They're even revamping the first hour of the game, which should make things a lot more engaging from the get-go.

Then, we've got the 'Endgame Update', which is still a bit of a mystery. We're talking Nyamtur trials across all levels for a risk-reward system, a "parkour mode" which sounds awesome, and a makeover for the Palace biome. Plus, there's something about challenges and pets coming, though nobody knows exactly what they're going to be. Even Evil Empire is unsure about the final details, but they reckon it could be massive.

As a bonus, they've already dropped a new tool: Flaming Horses. This bad boy unleashes a stampede of fiery horses, leaving a trail of burning goodness in their wake. Sounds like a blast!
