Sea of Remnants: NetEase Reveals Pirate RPG Gameplay Trailer!
Hey everyone! Guess what? NetEase just dropped a brand-new gameplay trailer for their upcoming pirate adventure RPG, Sea of Remnants, and it looks wild! I'm talking ship battles, exploring the high seas, and even kicking back with some drinking games and Mahjong. I mean, what's not to love?
The trailer, which you can find on YouTube, is packed with early in-game footage, giving us a real sense of what to expect. It's awesome that they're showing us the real deal and not just some fancy cinematic stuff. From what I can see, the game is set in a unique wood-carved puppet world. It is quite different from everything we are used to see!
According to the Steam page, Sea of Remnants will feature a dynamic weather system that should impact gameplay in many ways. Moreover, the game contains over 300 companions. You can recruit many characters! The combat is supposed to be a mix of naval warfare and turn-based battles when you're on land. Plus, it's going to be free-to-play, which is always a bonus. The release is planned to 2026, so there is still some time until we get our hands on it!
Developed by Joker Studio
The game is being developed by Joker Studio. These are the same guys that brought us that asymmetrical horror game with the gothic art style and doll-like characters. If you are into these kind of games, you should definitely check out their work.
If you are interested in checking out how the game plays before its released, make sure you sign up for the testing period on the game's Steam page.
Sea of Remnants is only one of the games NetEase has coming. They're also working on Blood Message. However, that one seems focused on the AAA single-player market. While Sea of Remnants will be free-to-play. Two different target of audiance that should attract many players.
