Skull and Bones Sails into Year 2 with Land Combat!

Gaming

Ahoy, mateys! Get ready to shiver me timbers because Ubisoft has revealed a treasure trove of updates coming to Skull and Bones in Year 2! The biggest news? Land combat is finally arriving, something players have been clamoring for since the game's launch. This is not a drill!

Ubisoft unveiled their plans during a special Year 2 showcase, and it's packed with new content, modes, and even a terrifying Kraken. But the star of the show is undoubtedly Season 3: Guts and Glory, set to launch this fall. That's when you'll be able to step off your ship and engage in swashbuckling sword fights and firearm battles on land!

Land Combat Details

Imagine this: you're storming sandy beaches and exploring dark, damp caves, all while engaging in intense combat. Season 3's Rogue Warlord additions will allow you to rescue skilled crewmembers, known as Officers, in these land-based skirmishes. Ubisoft has teased a short video, but we'll have to wait until later this year to see the full scope of the land combat mechanics.

But wait, there's more! While land combat is the headliner, Year 2 is bringing a whole fleet of exciting additions. Season 1: Ascent into Chaos, which is available now, introduces item ascension, challenging World Tiers, a new Schooner ship, and the Death Tides PvP mode.

Looking ahead, Season 2: Oaths of War (summer 2025) will bring Megaforts and massive Frigate ships, while Season 4: Eye of the Beast (winter) unleashes the Kraken, the Hunter's Guild, and the Corvette ship.
