Action

Get ready, Inkling and Octoling fans! Nintendo has revealed a brand-new Splatoon game and a massive update for Splatoon 3, both set to make waves in the world of inky action.

Splatoon Raiders: A New Adventure

First up, we have Splatoon Raiders, a brand-new spin-off title coming exclusively to the Nintendo Switch 2. Details are still scarce, but it promises a unique adventure where players take on the role of a mechanic, exploring the mysterious Spirhalite Islands alongside the Deep Cut trio. While a release date hasn’t been announced, the possibilities for this new Splatoon experience are exciting.

Splatoon 3 Version 10.0.0 Update: June 12th

But the fun doesn’t stop there! A significant update, version 10.0.0, is hitting Splatoon 3 on June 12th for both the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. This free update brings a wealth of new content, including the Splatlands collection featuring 30 new weapon kits from the Barazushi and Emberz brands. Expect fresh looks, new sub and special weapons.

Returning to the fray is Urchin Underpass, a beloved stage from the original Splatoon game. This nostalgic addition will add another layer of strategy to your battles. All weapon Freshness caps will be raised and players can collect new Badges. A new stat for Anarchy Battle (Series), called Series Weapon Power, is also being introduced. This system tracks player effectiveness per weapon based on win/loss ratios, creating more balanced matches and making it easier to experiment with different weapons without penalty.

Nintendo Switch 2 players will also enjoy enhanced visuals and smoother performance across locations. Perhaps best of all, cross-platform play between the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 will be enabled, allowing players across both consoles to battle it out together.

This update is shaping up to be a significant addition to the Splatoon 3 experience, adding fresh challenges and enhancing the gameplay experience in several key ways.
