So, Street Racer Collection is making a comeback! If you're feeling nostalgic for some old-school arcade racing, this might just be your thing. QUByte Interactive is bringing this collection to pretty much every platform you can think of – PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam, and it's slated for release on November 27. That's not too far off!

What's in the box? Well, you're getting the SNES, Mega Drive, and MS-DOS versions of the original Street Racer from 1994. It's like a little time capsule of gaming history.

What's the Hype?

Basically, Street Racer was known for mixing the thrill of arcade racing with the chaos of a fighting game. Imagine Mario Kart but with punches and special moves. It was quirky, original, and didn't take itself too seriously. You're racing on tracks with crazy obstacles, from Mount Rushmore to Transylvania, and you're encouraged to knock out your opponents. Pure, unadulterated fun!

The collection seems to have a bunch of game modes too. There's the standard practice mode to learn the ropes, head-to-head for some one-on-one action, a championship mode to create your own tournaments, and even a "Rumble Mode" where you just try to knock everyone else out of the arena. Oh, and there's a soccer mode with race cars (except in the MS-DOS version, sadly).

What I think is super cool is that you're getting four versions of the game, a bunch of unique tracks, eight wacky characters with their own special attacks, and local multiplayer. This is the kind of game that's best enjoyed with friends, trash-talking each other on the couch.

If you are looking for a game that you can play with your friends, Street Racer Collection might be a good choice. I am really thrilled about this one, I have some great memories with this game.
