Switch 2 Upgrades N64 Classics

Get ready for a blast from the past with improved Nintendo 64 games on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2! Nintendo has unveiled exciting updates for its N64 classics available through the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription. Fans can expect enhancements to beloved titles like The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, and GoldenEye 007.

Revamped Retro Gaming

The Switch 2 will introduce several new features, including a highly requested rewind function. This allows players to correct mistakes and replay challenging sections without restarting the entire game. Additionally, a nostalgic CRT filter will be added, giving those games a classic television feel. Control remapping options will also be available for a personalized gaming experience. These improvements will be rolled out on June 5th alongside the Switch 2 launch.

Existing Switch Owners Get Upgrades Too!

While the rewind feature and CRT filter are exclusive to the Switch 2, owners of the original Nintendo Switch will still receive a significant update. This update will introduce the ability to remap controls, offering greater flexibility and customization for N64 games.

While the Switch 2 is not yet officially available, some early access leaks have surfaced online showing an early unboxing. However, Nintendo swiftly took action to remove these videos from the internet.
