Chinese studio San San Er Chuan just dropped some exciting news! They're working on a new single-player, turn-based Wuxia RPG called "On the Edge," and it's slated for PC. No release date yet, so we'll have to be patient! What's really cool is that the game is being built using Unreal Engine 5 by the very same team that created the "On the Edge" animation. This means we can expect some seriously stunning visuals and a world that truly captures the essence of Wuxia. While it's connected to the animation, it's not just a rehash of the same story. We'll be following a brand-new protagonist and experiencing an original story. However, the developers are promising strong ties to characters from the animation, so expect some familiar faces and interwoven storylines. I'm personally hyped for this. The Wuxia genre is rich with potential, and a turn-based RPG format could be a fantastic way to really immerse players in the strategic combat and intricate world-building that defines the genre. Let's hope they deliver on that promise!
