Unicorn Mount

Unicorn Mount Guide in Oblivion Remastered

Gaming

The Unicorn mount stands out as one of the coolest rides in Oblivion Remastered, offering both style and substance. While acquiring this majestic creature isn't a walk in the park, the effort is well worth it.

Unicorn Location

After completing the tutorial, the hunt for the Unicorn can begin. Head to Harcane Grove, located northwest of Bravil, near the Upper Nibon River. The Shrine of Hircine serves as a nearby landmark – travel south from there.

Taming the Beast

Securing the Unicorn involves dealing with a group of minotaurs. There are a couple of ways to approach this:

  • Stealth Route: Utilize Chameleon or Invisibility spells to sneak past the minotaurs.
  • Direct Confrontation: Take on the minotaurs in battle, preferably one at a time.

If opting for stealth, cast your spell and, without any weapon drawn, mount the Unicorn and ride away quickly. Keep an eye out for any pursuing minotaurs. Drawing a weapon near the Unicorn will cause it to panic.

Unicorn Stats

The Unicorn boasts impressive stats:

  • Speed: 29
  • Damage: 45
  • Health: 350
  • Resistances: 100% Poison, Physical, and Paralysis; 50% Magic; 20% Reflect

This mount excels in speed and offers decent damage. However, the Unicorn cannot be permanently owned. It disappears upon dismounting and cannot be stored. Also, there's only one Unicorn in the game. Killing it during the Hircine quest means it can never be ridden again.

The Unicorn offers a unique experience due to its stats and temporary nature.
