October has rolled around again, which means spooky season content is landing across the gaming world. PUBG MOBILE is joining the party with a pumpkin flavoured makeover for Brainrot Royale, arriving as part of Version 4.6. The release brings a new timed event, fresh ways for players to mess with each other, extra collection progression, and several long requested quality of life tweaks. Familiar characters such as Boneka Ambalabu, Brr Brr Patapim and Ballerina Cappuccina are all back for the ride.
A Ghost Ship Pulls Into the Map
The centrepiece of the update is the Ghost Ship, a timed event that alternates with the Boss Room. When it triggers, an enormous vessel drifts out of the mist and parks itself in the middle of the level. From there it occasionally locks onto Brainrots riding the conveyor belt and fires tracking Ghost Bullets in their direction. If one of those bullets connects, the target transforms into a Pumpkin Brainrot, a special tier that only exists during Version 4.6. Players who want the same result without waiting on a bullet can smash open the Pumpkin Eggs tucked inside the Boss Room.
What happens next is up to each player. A Pumpkin Brainrot can be carried home to your own base, or lifted straight from somebody else’s collection. There is no rule saying you have to be polite about it.
The ship itself is more than scenery. Special updrafts appear while the event runs, letting players launch themselves onto the deck. Up there sits the Pirate Captain’s Shop, stocked with limited time items and rewards that cannot be picked up anywhere else.
Pirate Coins Explained
To buy anything from that shop, you will need Pirate Coins. This is a brand new event currency that sits separate from the regular coins earned during Brainrot Royale matches. There are several ways to stack them up: stealing another player’s Brainrot, cracking open eggs in the Boss Room, and either buying or shooting Brainrots all fill your wallet. Rarer and higher level Brainrots, along with the best eggs, hand out bigger payouts, so chasing the flashiest targets pays off.
Turning Yourself Into a Brainrot
Collecting these creatures has always been the point, but Version 4.6 finally lets players wear the costume themselves. Spending Pirate Coins on the Brainrot Wand disguises you as the new pumpkin themed Brainrot. Another purchase option, the Magic Broom, gives players free flight across the level and even allows a second player to tag along for the trip. The broom doubles as a weapon of sorts, with a dash attack that can bowl over thieves, giving you a fighting chance to chase them down and win back whatever they took.
Star Upgrades and Fusion
A new Star Upgrade system also arrives, aimed at players drowning in duplicate creatures. The idea is simple: take two Brainrots of the same type and star level and fuse them together. If the fusion succeeds, the resulting Brainrot grows larger, generates more coins per second, and becomes a more desirable collectible overall. Failure is not the end of the road either, since a botched attempt grants a success rate bonus for the next try. Keep pushing and a Brainrot can eventually reach the Meteor tier.
More Social Options and Space to Store Things
Interaction between players has been expanded considerably. Walking up to somebody now lets you open their profile card, send a friend request, trade popularity gifts, or hand over one of your own Brainrots. Gifting is flexible too, since creatures can be delivered straight to another player’s backpack or base, making it much simpler to share a collection with friends.
Storage received some attention as well. Backpacks now cap out at 64 Brainrots, and once that limit is hit you will not be able to scoop up anything else until you tidy your collection or sell off weaker creatures to make room. There is more breathing space at home, because the Rebirth level cap has been raised by five levels. Each new level opens another base slot, which means extra room for Brainrots and the coin producing facilities that come with them.
Version 4.6 of Brainrot Royale is available now inside World of Wonder, and PUBG MOBILE itself remains free to download on both the App Store and Google Play.
